Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Dow Vietnam Reinforces the Relationship Between University and Enterprise

On May 12, 2022, at Hall A4, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) organized the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Dow Chemical Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Dow Vietnam).

Previously, HCMUT and Dow Vietnam has collaborated in several significant activities, focusing on organizing specialized conferences and sponsoring innovation startup competitions for students.

Today, through the signing of this MoU, HCMUT and Dow Vietnam have officially reinforced the relationship between University and Enterprise, laid a foundation of sustainable and long-term cooperation, continue to develop and expand a number of cooperation activities such as: participating in the Public-Private Collaboration towards a circular economy in plastic waste management, enhancing society awareness about plastic waste, educating on behavior change, implementing programs for sustainable development, research and development cooperation, STEM innovation activities for students, supporting internships and other recruitment activities.

At the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong – President of HCMUT said, “It is our pleasure to welcome Dow Vietnam as one of our strategic partners, opening a new chapter in our collaboration. We do hope to continue accompanying Dow Vietnam in contributing to the sustainable development of our society, and nurturing generations of Vietnam young talents.”

With 65 years of establishment, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is one of the leading technical universities in Vietnam. Having achieved HCERES and AUN-QA accreditation standards at the institutional level since 2017 and 40 university training programs recognized by many international accreditation organizations (ABET, AUN-QA, FIBAA, AQAS, BSI,...), HCMUT visioned to become a prestigious university in the region in terms of teaching, learning, research and entrepreneurship-innovation. The university also attaches great importance to the development of cooperation between Universities - Industries and considers this as one of the important factors for the university's sustainable development.
