Dow Vietnam joined hands with partners to promote culture of diversity and inclusion

Ho Chi Minh City, August 28, 2022, Team Dow Vietnam participated in the event of PRIDE WALK hosted by Maersk Vietnam which is a global logistics and transport company and Dow supplier. Especially, this time we are extremely excited to welcome Rainbow Container stopover in Vietnam. The Rainbow Container initiative which was launched in July 2020 featured two fully functional containers that were painted with a Pride rainbow and then put in Maersk’s ongoing fleet, traveling across the globe. This is a symbolic action to enhance the awareness of inclusion and to make connections across borders joining hands together to promote the culture of diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, the image of the container and the messages of support and celebration enabled our values to show up in a very visible way. More than one thousand participants had the opportunity to come together, to wear the Pride uniform to parade, to join the sports games, to ink signatures inside the rainbow container and to share their personal hand-prints on the wall to advance the culture of diversity and inclusion.

To advance diversity and inclusion, Dow has successfully set up 10 networks of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) which is known as a valuable resource for employees and Dow by cultivating an inclusive environment where every employee is respected and valued and has the equal opportunity to develop, advance and be heard and providing a platform for business growth. In 2021, Dow updated its Inclusion, Diversity & Equity strategy – ALL IN 2025 – which focuses on leading with inclusion, elevating our focus on diversity, and embedding equity into our practices, policies and processes. And we outlined bold new actions to deliver breakthrough results by 2025, while amplifying transparency and accountability. At the same time, Dow has placed an emphasis on ensuring that we’re an inclusive workplace for LGBTQ+ employees. And all year round we put that value into action by supporting employee participation in PRIDE parades and events around the world, elevating and exploring LGBTQ+ issues on our webcasts and other internal communications, and celebrating our partnership with organizations
